It's time to take serious note of the nation's new most-pricy zip codes. Due to tech industry job growth, the exclusive neighborhoods of San Francisco and the Silicon Valley are in high demand, with many homes selling far beyond the original asking price.

In Pacific Heights, an affluent neighborhood of San Francisco, a two-bedroom home recently sold for $3.4 million, approximately 70% higher than its $1.995 million asking price. The SFGate reported that six offers were received, all over the asking price, and the home was sold within a week of being listed.

The home was designed by Bay Area architect William Wurster. Its private lot and open layout makes it conducive to indoor/outdoor living. Do you think it was worth the price?
